About the event
Carols by Candlelight is an Australian Christmas tradition that was popularized in Melbourne in 1938. The tradition has since spread around the world. It involves people gathering outdoors, usually in a park, to sing carols by candlelight.
You & I Against Diabetes Foundation is starting this tradition right here in Hammond, Louisiana. The foundation founder and event planner, Barbara Gainwell will host Christmas Carols by Candlelight 2023.
The event will showcase live performances by country music artist, Brad Lambden of Mineral Wells, Texas with special guests Vera Simms, New Orleans, LA & Doris Richard, Amite, LA. Join us as neighbors & friends lend their voices to raise funds for diabetes prevention in Louisiana. Lots of food, fun & fellowship!
